Teaching Initiatives Program 2025  

We all know that one, or two or three, teachers who always who go that extra mile for their students. They're the teachers we remember fondly decades later. We celebrate those teachers! 

Our Teaching Initiatives Program (TIP) is aimed at giving them the financial support to bring new, innovative projects from the drawing board to the classroom. 

In late-2024, we sat down with teachers and asked them about TIP. These teachers ranged from those who had applied for funding in 2024 and were successful, those who were unsuccessful and teachers who had never heard about TIP.  

As a result of that feedback, for the first time in many years, we've made changes to TIP because we want to help more teachers at more schools bring their great projects to the classroom to benefit more students. 

 In 2025 we are offering: 

• A larger funding pool with Bank First Members (teachers) invited to apply for grants up to $4000 in value. 

• Opening TIP to non-Bank First Members (teachers) who can apply for grants up to $2000 in value. 

• People's Choice Award selected from unsuccessful applicants.  

• A simplified application process. 

• 'How to write a winning grant application' toolkit to help you with the process. 

TIP 2025 opens on 24 March 2025.
